CORE FAQs
Can I lend my caravan to a friend or a member of my family?
Yes. Cover for friends and family is included as standard under our Core caravan policies. This means you can lend your caravan to immediate friends or family members, provided they have your permission to use it.
Please be aware that this cover only applies to personal use. If you receive any payment, hire fee, or other financial compensation for the use of your caravan, cover will not apply. This includes lending the caravan in exchange for money or using it as a rental.
If you're lending your caravan to friends or family free of charge, you can do so with confidence knowing they're covered under your policy terms.
Who is covered to tow my caravan?
The policyholder and their spouse are covered to tow the caravan as standard.
With our Core caravan policies, Friends & Family Cover is included as standard. This means cover is also extended to immediate friends and family members who are towing or using the caravan with your permission.
This gives you added flexibility and peace of mind when allowing trusted friends or family members to use your caravan.
Important: Anyone towing the caravan must ensure they are legally permitted to do so and that their towing vehicle and motor insurance provide the appropriate cover for towing.
Am I covered for Hotel and Caravan Hire in the event of a claim?
Yes. This cover is included as standard with our Core caravan policy.
If your caravan becomes uninhabitable following a valid claim, this cover can help with the cost of alternative accommodation so you can carry on enjoying your holiday.
Cover includes one of the following:
- Hotel accommodation (excluding food and drink) up to £75 per day for up to 14 days.
- Hire costs for a replacement caravan up to £75 per day for up to 14 days.
- No excess applies.
This additional benefit helps ensure your holiday or break can continue with minimal disruption if your caravan cannot be used following an insured event.
