The reason that you have been charged 2 payments is because these are the first 2 out of your 10 monthly payments for your policy.
When a policy renews, our partners Premium Credit will collect the first 2 out of the 10 monthly payments from the customer around the same day. This is due to the first payment after renewal taking up to 10 working days to be set up and then your payments continue as normal on the usual payment date so the first 2 payments will be taken close together or even on the same day. However, I can assure you that this does not impact the cost of your insurance in any way and can confirm that you only have 8 monthly payments due for this year.
